
Technesis
Technesis is a leading provider of Document Output Management
solutions that enable organizations to recover, manage, and
control their printing, copying and scanning technologies.

Technesis Consolidator was created to capture usage data from
a variety of sources for integration with the Technesis Document
Output Management system. Consolidator enables you leverage
the accuracy of existing logging solutions while benefiting
from powerful tracking and management features found in the
award-winning Technesis system. Technesis develop Consolidator
to enable customers to establish links with any application
or controller with logging capabilities. The data from the
external sources is then brought into the Technesis Foundation,
providing customers with a centralized reporting platform for
every logging application in their office, WAN or Enterprise.
Importing data from other solutions is only as valuable as
the ability to correctly allocate those transactions to appropriate
project, case matter or cost center. The Technesis Rules Engine
was developed to automate the process of "scrubbing data" when
logs are imported from non-Technesis components. The 'Rules
Engine' gives customers ultimate control of their data, allowing
them to configure unlimited conditions and results, based on
simple statements or advanced scripts, to transform the data
to their specific requirements. 'Rules' eliminate the need
for customer specific software solutions and clearly differentiates
Technesis from any other tracking solution on the market today.

Technesis gives you the ability to leverage the data in your
existing accounting systems and seamlessly integrate that information
into the Technesis Document Output Management system. This
is crucial to the ease of use and the effectiveness of the
Technesis system in your organization. To meet this need, Technesis
offers SmartSync component. SmartSync will automatically populate
and maintain the Technesis Foundation database with project
names, code numbers, and employee names and ID numbers by linking
directly to the most popular accounting systems. This ensures
that your systems are in sync, allowing your accounting and
IT departments to focus on more important tasks.

echnesis has expanded on its print tracking
architecture and brought it to the server level. This brings
extended flexibility, and it demonstrates our commitment to
deliver the most comprehensive yet easy to set up, easy to
use solutions available. All document information is recorded
to the Technesis foundation enabling adminstrators to track,
manage and report all network printing activity.
3 Different Modes of Operation
SmartPrint allows you to set the tracking mode for each output
device, and there are (3) different modes to choose from:
Control
Requires user interaction or billing information before print
jobs are released.
Quota
After reaching a pre-determined number of prints, users are
required to provide billing.
Silent
Devices are tracked silently without the need for any user
interaction.

This screen shot shows the SmartPrint User Interface, which
allows administrators to view and edit all of the tracking
options for each device on their network.
Mac Compatibility

Technesis introduces SmartPrint for Macintosh computers running
OS 8.5 and higher, including OS X. For more information, please
refer to Technesis PopUp under the Technesis Client Products.

Technesis NetDeploy LT
The simplest of Technesis implementations, LT is geared toward
smaller organizations with no specific system requirements.
The database is based on Jet (or Access) and can be easily
installed on any existing, shared network location.
Technesis NetDeploy Pro
The Pro version is geared toward mid-sized to large organizations
who need to manage their document output across their enterprise.
The base system requires IIS along with MSDE or SQL Server
and can support hundreds, even thousands of users in unlimited
locations across the globe.
Technesis NetDeploy Hosted
The final implementation is geared toward FM providers who
wish to host the Foundation for their customers. This not
only simplifies the maintenance and implementation of the
system, but it also allows the FM provider to run reports
and administer the system remotely without having to visit
the customer.

The Technesis Console provides a single point of control for
the entire Technesis system, streamlining administration and
passing data automatically between its database and other components
for accurate, comprehensive document output management and
cost recovery. Administrators can configure devices, projects,
phases, bill types, rates, medias, and more.
Users can configure and administer the Technesis system by
entering Company Profile, Jobs (names & numbers), Phases,
Plot Types and Billing Rates, Media Types, Sheet Sizes, Devices,
User security and more. The Console can be installed in any
location on the network; no dedicated server is required! Console
is password protected ensuring the highest level of security.
All Technesis components write to the same database.

Console Reports
Powered by Crystal Reports, Technesis Console also provides
dynamic report generation. From simple adaptations to fully
customized versions, a range of report options is available
from Technesis. Automatically extract job information from
ODBC compliant accounting systems via SmartSync, eliminating
errors and unnecessary administration. Automatically generate
several standard billing reports specific to Job Summary, Job
Detail, Media Summary, User Summary and more.
Reports are easily customized to reflect your company name,
address and even your company logo.

The optional Technesis PopUp is required on
those workstations that require user input for the charge back
of activity. The interface is fully customizable and easily
installed across the network with login scripts or automated
deployment applications


Technesis’ revolutionary approach to
cost recovery expands to track off-the-glass copying and faxing.
The introduction of Technesis CF Counter offers a new level
of convenience by accurately tracking walk-up copying and faxing
on networked or stand-alone devices. The solution, powered
by the Technesis Cost Recovery system, enables centralized
administration and reporting of all your document output expenses.

The Technesis Manual Billing was created for Facilities Management
providers and other customers that need to track, record and
bill for tasks, actions, or supplies. Manual tasks such as
binding, folding or stapling are easily entered into the Technesis
Foundation (or database) with the simple to use Manual Billing
utility. It is also ideal for recording supplies, merchandise
or deliveries.
